Uttarkashi is spread the right banks of river Bhagirathi. It is district located in the northern side of the Uttaranchal in the India’s state Uttarakhand.

The Nehru Institute of Mountaineering is located in Uttarkashi. It is imparts mountaineering training to young people to inculcate the spirit of adventure among the youth of the country.

Its most of the area is hilly. Due to hill town, every season is the best for visit here because in every season has its own charm. Even in summer season it is pleasant, no too much hot or tropical atmosphere. And winter season is the best, on that time it looks like heaven due to its greenery and blue skies. Monsoon is equally charming.
