Cooch Behar Palace was built during the reign of Maharaja Nripendra Narayan. It was designed on the model of Buckingham Palace in Landon in 1887, Most of the thing is designed wonderfully and brilliant architecture used by them.

A part of it is now a museum, showcasing imported oil painting and chandeliers, sepia tinted photographs of royalty, antiquities such as hoe, arrows, terracotta figurines, clay models of cow with calf and much more unearthed from Gosanimari, where the old capital of the Koch kings was located. A tribal gallery shows glimpse of the lifestyles of lifestyles of Cooch Behar’s indigenous people.
