RULE FOR SIMPLE SENTENCE

[Sub + had + V3 + Object.]

  1. We had done this work.
  2. Girls had plucked flower.
  3. Manjeet had gone to school.
  4. My mother had cooked food.
  5. Ravi had gone to GMA.

RULE FOR NEGATIVE SENTENCE

[Sub + had + not + V3 + Object.]

  1. We had not done this work.
  2. Girls had not plucked flower.
  3. Manjeet had not gone to school.
  4. My mother had not cooked food.
  5. Ravi had not gone to GMA.

RULE FOR INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE

[Had + Sub + V3 + Object?]

  1. Had we done this work?
  2. Had Girls plucked flower?
  3. Had Manjeet gone to school?
  4. Had my mother cooked food?
  5. Had Ravi gone to GMA?

RULE FOR INTERROGATIVE + NEGATIVE SENTENCE

[Had + Sub + not + V3 + object?]

  4. Had my mother not cooked food?
  5. Had your body not worked today?

RULE FOR WH-QUESTION SENTENSE

[Wh-Words + had + Sub + V3 + Object?]

RULE FOR INFINITIVE SENTENCE = TO + V1

[Sub + had+ gone + to + V1 + Object.]

  5. He had gone to sleep.

RULES FORQUESTION TAG SENTENCE

[Sub + had + V3 + Object, had + not + sub?]
